At least it’s been that way since at least the 1990s.
But in 2017, it’s getting a bit easier to keep one of your company’s assets in the public eye.
At least for now.
And that’s the point.
In many cases, companies are now legally required to pay back investors who were previously investors in their companies.
A new law in Canada and the U.K. will allow investors to sue companies for compensation in this way.
And the legislation has been adopted by the Canadian Senate, the U, and other parliamentary bodies.
